A great place for a walk, run or bike ride.
Nice place to bike ride. A hidden treasure in Queens. Very hilly.
The “unsung hero” of the NYC Parks system. It’s a bit out of the way (no subway nearby), but entirely worth the trip, especially if you’re a runner (which I am) or a biker.
A tranquil and fun filled trail amongst tall shady trees perfect for cross country running. You will find people leisurely walking their dogs, bicycle riding and running. The canopy cover provided by the many trees along the path makes it an ideal place to run during the summer months.
The historic Vanderbilt Motor Parkway was the first elevated U.S. parkway for automobiles and is now a walking/jogging/cycling trail maintained by the NYC Parks Department. Quiet and serene. You may forget you're in New York City!
