Forest Park Pine Grove

Late night riding through Forest Park

This is a great place for walking, bike riding or hiking through the trails any time of year!

Forest park is another hidden gem. 500 protected acres of secret nature buffered by parkways and cemeteries. Includes a closed off paved and protected road for running and biking through the shady tree covered forest. Miles of dirt trails for hiking and sports fields and bathrooms on the perimeter. There is an adult cruising area that is well patrolled so stay on the marked paths. Something for everyone to escape the city without leaving

It’s a forest in the middle of the city and we took our cat there for an outdoor adventure. He, uh… well, he’s a cat, so I think he linked it, but it’s not like he was real forthcoming about it when I asked. The trees are nice, it’s easy to get to, everyone we encountered was really friendly and seemingly excited about our feline friend daringly venturing outdoors. It’s nice this place is here because other forests are far away.

On a snowy day, a beautiful view of the moon could be seen through the trees. Here is a shot of the moon with the trees and through them.

Always a nice park to walk and discover the old train tracks, as well as other secrets that were forgotten.
