Basilio Inn is probably the oldest restaurant on staten island, touting over 100 years of service to the community. The reason for this has to be their fresh pasta and tomato sauce. The quality of the ingredients is evident in their garden where fresh herbs and vegetables are being grown. The service here was phenomenal and there is plenty of parking
Food was delicious! Staff was great!
Desert was just as good as the food!

This is not your modern gastronomy of Italian food. It is unpretentious and wonderful for what it is. It reminds you that true classics are timeless and can not be replaced by some nitrogen emulsified essence. Would eat here any day. One of the only true old world Italian dinning experiences that are still left in NYC. The only place that still serves Trippa Alla need I say more.
Maurizio is the consummate host featuring Italian specialties made with his family's recipes for generations. Our favorite this summer has been and always will be his stuffed zucchini flowers fresh from the producer. Close your eyes and I can attest that that the aroma and taste whisk will you back to Le Madri Italia & Sicilia. The zucchini flowers always do it for me and my wife, Susan, like time travel.
