By far and away the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. The only time going to the dentist was truly 100% painless and comfortable, and the results were perfect. Dr. Goodman separates himself from other dentists by actually caring deeply about the patients’ experience and he’ll go out of his way to get the most perfect results. You won’t wince once and your teeth will look better than ever. Plus he’s the man. Nicest guy ever. Worth the trip to SI if you don’t live there.
My son had an unfortunate accident that involved his losing two of his front teeth. Dr Goodman came in on a sunday and did two emergency root canals to alleviate the enormous pain he was feeling. The procedure went flawlessly, my son felt nothing, and he is now on (long) road to recovery. Dr Goodman and his assistant showed enormous care and professionalism in opening up their office to do the procedure, the work was superb and I feel highly confident his smile and look will be fully restored under Dr Goodman’s care.
I highly recommend Dr. Goodman. He as well as his staff have always been wonderful. Due to poor experiences with dentists as a child I was always fearful. Dr. Goodman put my mind at ease. I wanted to have my teeth redone so I would feel confident in my smile. He far exceeded my smile expectations. I never thought I would be so excited to smile again. Friends and family couldn't believe how gorgeous my teeth looked. I couldn't thank him and his staff enough.
Dr. Goodman saved me - what a dentist! I would recommend him to anyone! At another dentist's office for cavity, I had a horrible experience - they botched a filling and said they messed it up and would have to now give me a root canal - I was so upset - this was supposed to be easy - it was a tiny little cavity. I heard from a friend that Dr. Goodman was a gentle dentist so if I was going to have this procedure, this was the place to go, and so I went to him and not only was he gentle, he saved my tooth! no root canal needed - he gently took out the filling and refilled it and calmed my tooth down, so it feels fine, doesn't hurt any more and no root canal! he was so careful and he knows what he is doing - he explained the whole procedure to me ahead of time, and he even made me laugh and helped me so I wasn't so nervous. I'm so happy I found this dentist - I had to put the word out there for others out there in New York/Staten Island because good dentists like this are hard to find!
I am not one to write online reviews but I had to after this experience because I feel I have to let others know about this amazing dentist. I don't trust doctors or dentists, and especially have a fear of dental work and Dr. Goodman somehow calmed my nerves as soon as he walked in the room. somehow I felt I could trust him and it turned out to be true. I had an old filling (from a different dentist 8 years ago) and I had to get a root canal - I was terrified. It all turned out to be fine and painless and I feel much better now after the work. I have had several dentists in my past and I've never encountered a more gentle conscientious dentist that Dr. Goodman. He is also extremely meticulous, precise and detail-oriented. You can tell he really cares about every patient and every treatment he performs, and the result is happy teeth and a confident smile from me. I am now working with him to finally straighten my teeth using invisalign, and so far the process has been easy and painless. I will be recommending all of my friends to come to him, even if they have to travel a bit because he's a rarity. Definitely top-rate dental care for Staten Island and New York City.
