Nice, New York City beach. Good vibe, safe. Family friendly, garbage in the water around high tide. Still a be good view of the ocean... no crowds or ridiculousness when I was there.
I love this beach. Improvements have been made and I see them clean the beach with giant machines. I love that you can enjoy the crowd or travel further down to enjoy some quiet. I hope to continue to see more investments and improvements to our local beaches.
Large playground near the beach with nice breeze and shadow. Great for kids all ages with the separate sections to play for various ages. Even the smallest ones that can walk. Not enough rubber coverage thus children might get injured running from one ground to the other. Sometimes gets very crowded.
I've been coming to this beach since I was a kid literally. It has really good memories and I've had fun times here throughout my life.
Perks are: *endless amount of free parking endless.
*The beach is free itself to get on.
*Several basketball courts.
*Several different playgrounds for the kids.
*Long Boardwalk that you can ride bikes on.
*They also have bike rental services if you don't feel like bringing your bike.
*Food of course is welcome.
*They have a grassy areas to if you don't feel like sitting in the sand.
*They also have a separate spot with BBQs.
*And also plenty of fun sprinklers systems for the kiddies if you do not feel like taking them to the water.
*They also have some showers and kind lifeguards.
Cons : *better bathrooms ( but obviously they're not that bad they've changed through the years)
*The water could be a bit cleaner but I'm pretty sure it is considered the bay so.....
*Other than that I see no cons it's a decent beach for a good day of relaxation reading tanning places for the kids to play and so on.
Staten Island shore line is so unique, one can only discover on a lonely early morning walk. The sunrise, the stillness of the ocean, the early risers flying above on a warm summer dawn, will intoxicate your mind with good energy for days. Any hour of the day spent on the beach, sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, jogging on a beautiful boardwalk or biking on a bike trail along all the beaches, will more than likely serve as a unforgettable experience.

Midland beach is the place to be if you're looking to get some exercise in. I've always stayed away from the sand, and more importantly the water but the boardwalk is fabulous. I've gone running, biking, just hung out there.
