“Laundromat just opened. Inside is clean, has a sitting area but only takes quarters for the machines. All the way in the back are 2 machines that will exchange larger bills for smaller ones and for quarters, there's an ATM in the back too. In total there's 42 machines, 20 washing machines and 22 dryers. 16 regular sized dryers and 6 jumbo dryers, all dryers are 25¢. The smaller dryers are 25¢/8min and the jumbo ones are 25¢/6min. As for the washing machines they go by: $3.00 smallest machines, $6.00 medium, $7.50 large and only 2 super large machines for $9.00. In the back you can buy detergent, bleach, fabric softener, drying sheets and laundry bags of plastic bags. Those items you pay for in cash.”

“I'm originally from the NYC metro area but moved away years ago. While visiting Staten Island, my friend and I came here for some real Italian food, which is something we can't get in the south. I was never more tempted to move back home than I was after that meal. Their food, service, atmosphere, and room temperature were all exceptional. I have a service dog who was treated with all the love and respect for his position that we've ever received in a higher end restaurant. I don't know when I'll be back to Staten Island, but I do know where I'm going to go for dinner when I get there!”
