“I've never really had much faith in doctors or their ability to diagnose issues properly, but after a medical issue this week had me laid up in Nyack Hospital one doctor gave me hope for the field. Without going into specifics I was taken by ambulance to NH with unbearable excruciating pains in my stomach that had a guy who normally deals with pain easily, crawled up in a ball on the floor. Over the next 8 hours in the ER two very warm and attentive Doctors ran a multitude of tests but could not find the problem. When All else failed they put in a call to Dr. Chang. In the mean time while waiting for DR. Chang I was sent upstairs to an attending Dr. on the 4th floor, who not only was rude, condescending and misdiagnosed my condition, but was pushing to discharge me with the diagnosis that there was nothing I could do, that although it was going to be very painful, I would have to deal with it for about a month that way until it went away. He was DEAD wrong. Fortunately Dr. Chang came in at night before they could discharge me. Dr Chang took the time to speak with me, ask me many questions about the symptoms, my lifestyle and my history. He was polite, empathetic, kind and comforting. He stopped the discharge and told the condescending Dr. on duty that i would be staying the night again so he could run a test in the morning. Dr. Chang performed his procedure and found the issue with little fuss. He then explained to me how to handle things moving forward and gave me a prescription for the issue. I felt relieved and I can't thank this man enough. There is no one better to use in this field if you are having an issue. You will be more than grateful you followed my advise.”
