I had to log on and leave a review for the Doc, but also for his reception staff. I would like to publicly thank his receptionist and front office staff.
As a patient of Dr. Cricchio for over a decade, his reception staff are ACES. Please give some thought to how many calls a day they get so that XYZ patient (myself included) can get a much needed antibiotic and/or refill, etc.? Or how many calls he gets from pharmacies? How many doctors do you REALLY know who give refills and/or a much needed script over the phone anyway? Most that I know insist you come in for a visit. Doc C's front office staff are his gatekeepers and they keep him from having to work 24 hours straight. A good example - my husband had a heart attack and I could NOT get his cardiologist on the damn phone. It was Dr. Cricchio who took care of my husband at one of the worst times in our lives and I had NO PROBLEM getting messages through to Dr. Cricchio through his front office staff. I have an incurable disease and Doc. C takes very, very good care of me and the care for my condition. Last year I was hit by a car walking in a parking lot. During that time, Doc C's front office staff took such good care of me - so well that I sent them an Edible Arrangement gift to thank them for taking such good care of me. Dr. Cricchio DOES get to the bottom of your health problems. He is not the "corporate paid/big pharma doctor" that all doctors have become such as my husband's now former cardiologist who, for all intent and purposes, drew a salary and worked 9-5 (FULL STOP). That now VERY FORMER cardiologist did not give ONE iota of care that my husband, his patient, had a heart attack and was in the ER. IT WAS Dr. Cricchio who was the doctor who came to the hospital on his own time at night and he took care of my husband. I am kindly asking you all to please give second thought to posting bad reviews about his front office staff. My history with them is that they are very hard working woman at the front desk. Contrary to the reviews on various sites. I do believe that they also travel long distances to work with the Doc C. Doc C is the BEST doctor in Rockland County, #1 HANDS DOWN. A real doctor who REALLY does care about his patients. How any doctors do you know who go to the hospital to see how their patients are doing on their own time and don's even bill for it? To the general public thank you for reading my review and to Doc C's patients, please give those nice woman a break. Finally, his nurse is #1 aces - 5*****also. You are a very lucky person if you are a patient of Doc C!

Friendly, knowledgable and kind. However his receptionist is truly one of the most disgusting humans I’ve ever met, inside and out. She’s clearly miserable and hates her life, so she does everything in her power to make you miserable while you’re in the office. I wonder if anyone reads these reviews, because the rest say the same thing! She’s atrocious! If Dr.Cricchio knew what was good for him, he’d send that absolute troll of a woman back to the hole she crawled out of.

Words can’t describe how much doctor Cricchio has helped me. Such an intelligent , caring , compassionate man I have been seeing him over years & never once felt rushed or uncomfortable that I couldn’t talk about something. Really a great knowledgeable doctor can’t thank him enough for all he’s done for me.

I felt the need to write a review after reading so many poor ones about things that have nothing to do with the actual clinical staff. While I know that often times the complaints are about the receptionists and nobody else in the office it is important to give credit where credit is due. I will say the reception staff might not be the warmest group but they are good at their jobs, efficient and I have never had an issue with anyone receiving my messages I have left or being fit in on an emergency basis when asked. The doctor himself has even told me in the past if I have an emergency just come, I won't so I always call and they always accommodate me. Dr. Cricchio has been my doctor for about 10 years and both of his nurses are fantastic, smart and kind. They all truly care about their patients. I disagree with ALL of the things I have read in a negative light about this doctor. He does not just give medicines when they are not needed and he ALWAYS digs deeper to find the root of the problem. Sometimes people may not like when a doctor tells them that he won't do unethical things and just give what they ask for if it is not in their best interest which is what I really feel the negativity posters problems are. Dr. Cricchio is the MOST caring, kind and patient doctor I have EVER met and I work in healthcare. He NEVER rushes you out EVER and makes sure you understand everything and are comfortable with his treatment plan and explains all alternative options and will even change his first thoughts if you prefer a different plan as long as it is in your best interest and is appropriate in addressing your problem. Not only is he a great doctor he is a kind and empathetic person that takes his oath to help people and do no harm very seriously. He always follows all NYS laws etc and makes that known when he has to do something like for example a questionnaire. There was a time that I was SO sick for months and nobody could figure it out. I went to maybe 10 doctors. He is THE ONLY ONE who figured it out and treated me. I had babesosis and he was the only one that even thought to look for it. I had been to even infectious disease doctors that missed it. There are even often times that doctor will tell he wont over prescribe, for example if I have symptoms that are allergies turning into a sinus infection but definitely not an infection now he won't just throw me on an antibiotic to get me out the door. I have had illnesses in the past and he has followed up with me at night or on the weekend to check on me. I have met MANY doctors in my career and he is by far the most honest, down to earth, kind, empathetic and most importantly knowledgeable PCP I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being treated by. Dr. Cricchio is THE BEST.
