Natural beauty close to home.
Beautiful place
Quiet and peaceful space to just enjoy nature
Painted by Victor DeGrailly (1804-1889). The boats and sails, as well as clouds are a bit stylized, but can bring to mind Washington Irving's description of Peter Stuyvesant naming the peak in honor of his companion Antony the Trumpeter, whose nose "was of a very lusty size, strutting boldly from his countenance like a mountain of Golconda, being sumptuously bedecked with rubies and other precious stones, the true regalia of a king of good fellows, which jolly Bacchus grants to all who bouse it heartily at the flagon".
If you love trains then this is the place to be.
