  Did the whitewater rafting at SAC. It was a real nice trip. Nothing to extreme. Perfect for families. Our guides Paul and Nate were great.

  We arrived at SOC a hour before closing in hopes to try out the lazy tubing. Staff aka O’Ryan was incredibly kind. He helped set us up for lazy river tubing. We enjoyed every minute. Couldn’t have asked for more. We paddled with our arms up the river and found a Tarzan swing. There is a strong current underneath the river‘s calm surface. If you decide to use the Tarzan swing -just be ready to swim against the current. Lazy tubing was the perfect ending to our trip. Highly recommend this place and will be returning.

  Group of 4 that took a guided whitewater kayaking trip. Two were not experienced in whitewater and the other two were. The SOC guides were great, knowledgeable and friendly. I requested a helmet with a GoPro Mount, and they happily provided. I recommend recording your experience. The trip was great for beginners and those of experience.

  This is an outfitter that provides guided whitewater raft and kayak trips on the Sacandaga River. The river is dam controlled, with releases nearly every day, so it's one of the few whitewater rivers with reliable water during the summer. The trip they offer is more tame that the Hudson Gorge, so it's more suitable for children and those that are new to whitewater. The outdoor center is conveniently located at the take-out (the confluence of the Hudson and Sacandaga Rivers), so there's no drive back to your car at the end of the trip.
