  I was there for 8 days, I personally found my experience to be not that bad. You will recovery only if you want to and work with the staff. The staff Doesn’t tolerate any funny business, they are there to do their jobs and if you joke around too much and are inappropriate they will put you on restriction. I followed the most of the time rules so whenever I was restricted it was not just me but the whole group, which I thought was unfair because Only a few people were being immature and they punished the group. Other than that I had a good experience, the food was decent and they switched my meds which I desperately needed. I suggest going here only if you want to recover, people will help you as long as you put in the work too.

  Out of all the inpatient psychiatric units I have been do I feel South Oaks is def the best. Patrick on South East 2 Is The Man. I got all my medication prescribed to me that i have been on in teh streets and for years with absolutely no problem. They just needed to make sure it was legit but other than that you get what you need

  I was horrified by the bad reviews as my son was taken there. Our family was so scared for him. It was the only place that had a bed available. All I can say is THANK GOD. they were incredible! From the minute we got there to the hugs as we left. My son was combative and uncooperative to say the least. They have in down! He now says it was the best thing ever. They turned this kid around. We are so grateful to everyone there. My son explained it it like “it’s a family”! So don’t listen to bad reviews. There will always be unhappy people to complain but they saved my son from himself.
