Ken worked hard assessing the issue and Marty and Mike worked hard all morning to address and solve the problem (clogged and full cesspool) giving me the best outcome possible with the least disturbance to my property. “Fantastic place to anchor your boat and go for a swim. It’s a nice respite from the Bay and a good place to relax. There are a few small sandy beach areas you can go to. If there is no wind- black flies can be an issue- but it’s just part of boating on the South Shore. Many local people call this cove “Garbage Cove”; but it was once the site of an old Coast Guard station before the inlet at the end of the Amity Cut was filled in and the marshland in the area was used to make Ocean Parkway. “Awesome place; friendly atmosphere...it’s a hidden gem and a place that is from a genuine by gone era when pubs were down to earth and not snooty. If you’re looking for some fine grub, good conversation, friendly staff, and beer- like the real stuff, not some IPA micro brew- sorry if that’s your thing, it’s all good, but I just like a nice cold Miller High Life...and oh, it’s pretty cool to be on a canal surrounded by actual working marinas- so few of these locations are left as they are sold off to high end development and fancy restaurants. Don’t let this lull you into thinking the food isn’t quality- it is! They often have fantastic life music. Summer might be their prime season but I’m just as happy being there in the off season.
