  Best place on long island to find jazz. The walls are filled with photos, paintings, and other jazz inspired work. Every Wednesday they have art and jazz nights where you can draw and listen to fantastic jazz musicians. Also encourages spoken word and an open jam session at the end of the night. Come out to the jazz loft you won't be disappointed!!!

The Jazz Loft officially opened in May of 2016. Originally built in 1941, the building was the Suffolk Museum, now the Long Island Museum. Philanthropist Ward Melville, owner of Thom McAnn shoes, designed all of Stony Brook Village, including the Suffolk Museum.
