(August 27, 2018, 12:11 pm)Nice beach, many parking fields, traffic can be difficult getting in at times, usually there are parking spaces available. Rest rooms and showers are adequate, not luxurious. Food and beverages are available at a concession pavilion, moderately priced, fast good type selections. Small list of draught beers available. Some places in the fields have stations with grills for outdoor picnics. Beach areas maintained adequately, water quality is normally good. Bathing areas are staffed with life guards. $10 entrance fee, but there is no entrance fee if you hold a NYS Empire Passport card.

(August 15, 2018, 7:23 pm)Lovely beach ... $5 ice cream is crazy !!! Free parking for seniors on weekdays. Showers are great to clean off the salt and sand with changing areas as well. Worth the extra 20 minutes from Jones Beach.

Although you have to pay $10.00 to get in it looks like they really do use the fee for upkeep because everywhere you go is pretty clean (even the bathrooms!). It is well staffed with lifeguards at every post and there is no area that is dirty, full of seaweed or dead fish, etc. They have a snack bar and shop for beach necessities if needed. It's everything you might expect and more!

(July 14, 2018, 7:13 pm)Great beach in easy access from New York City. We bought tickets from Penn Station to Robert Moses park plus a shuttle bus to the beach. The sand was clean the waves were strong and the concession stand staff were very polite and helpful.

(June 21, 2018, 12:45 pm)Field 3 is a Great place to visit for family and friends of all ages. The beaches are fun and excellent to swim in. During this time of the Season swimming access is only on the weekends.. This field also gives you access to the docks that have great fishing. One important rule to remember when it comes to fishing is you must have a marine registry. Which can be done online in the fishing permit section. There is no cost for this.
