  We ordered balloons for my sisters baby shower and were advised they'd be delivered by 11am. We were assured this wouldn't be an issue as the restaurant is a few minutes away from party city. Trusting them and deciding this would be great not having to pick them up giving us time to do things at the restaurant we relied on them. 11am, called to be told "the delivery guy picked them up he is on his way" 11:15am "the delivery guy picked them up 40 minutes ago, he should be there any minute". 11:45am asked for a manager- a female who said "I am the manager" (and was not the manager , you'll see how we know this later) she says, the guy picked them up all I can do is refund you. I don't know where he is." At this point my poor mother is crying and this delivery guy is missing, party city takes no accountability whatsoever and customer service severely lacks. At 12:15pm Michael who delivers balloons for party city shows up. He showed me on his phone the call from 15 minutes prior - from party city in Islip, he wasn't driving around with our balloons for 40 minutes they weren't ready and hadn't even called him until 12pm- party city was 100% at fault. I then left my sisters shower with the balloons and went to party city. Asked for a manager. The woman at the register said the only manager here is that guy- yes MALE. So the woman posing as a manger on the phone was either told to do so by Cliff who isn't manager material and is afraid to speak to upset customers or she just posed as a manager and should be fired for doing so. Well, cliff had no explanation as to why the balloons were late, didn't seem to give a care at all, and said I'll refund you shrugged and walked to a register. Then proceeded to try and make my day even worse and scam me stating I couldn't be refunded CASH when the balloons were paid for with a DEBIT card. Sorry Cliff you're wrong again- and when I called him out on it he knew I was right and said "okay okay okay" and gave me my refund and we left. This place is a disgrace. Party city should be ashamed to have employees like Cliff and the other women who work here and impersonate management. Get it together, you need employees that are organized, timely and have good customer service skills or they shouldn't be hired. Customer service is horrible here and they just lie and try to blame the poor delivery guy. Disgusting way of doing business party city, time to re evaluate the Islip location, before refunds continue and this location ends up bankrupt.

  Everyone was extremely helpful and I rarely find that in the retail market today . I would definitely recommend this location to my family and friends for any party needs they might have, again I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful staff and even the cleanliness of your Islip location, if your other locations even come close to Islip you are doing a fabulous job. I also noticed a help wanted sign even though I just retired I believe I will be going online to fill out an application.
