  Trainers are very respectful , push you past your limits , have humor in them. Very clean mat , have seen them clean it off at the end of every day. It’s like a big family !

  I'm just going to update my post that I wrote about two years ago below, and say that this place is still an awesome place to train. Part of what makes this place so unique is the HUGE number of black/brown belt instructors from different lineages that all teach. Each morning/evening class is taught by a different teacher, so you're getting exposure to a lot of different styles that really even out your game. Again, no price gauging, no pressure, no contracts. A lot of friendly people, and you won't find crazy ego here. This place is really unique.
  
  Really great education at this school. Whether its grappling, sparring, or conditioning, this place really takes the time to teach students how to do it properly. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and it doesn't matter your experience level, everyone can take something away from the experience that's positive and productive.

  This is such an amazing place to train. Not only is there top notch instruction but the students are friendly and respectful. Whether you are a beginner with zero experience or an advanced student, there are classes for you. In addition, it is one of the cleanest academies around. I have seen first hand the cleaning of the mats after every class. I love it at Monster!

  Best place on Long Island to get fit and learn to defend yourself. There is no greater feeling than knowing how hard you can push yourself, and you get to do it day in and day out with the great family that is monster. Every member of this place from the kids to the blue hairs are the kind of people that would give you the shirt off their back. A tight knit community of hard workers that look out for one another. The instructors are amazing, technical and caring; sought out by top notch UFC fighters for their knowledge. There is NO other place I would train BJJ on Long Island
