Our new favorite place! Located in a Beautiful old house, right off 684 North, Rolling Stones blaring on the porch on the way in, great playlist all night. Super laid back vibe, apparently need a reservation on weekends, or you can snag a bar-seat and eat at the bar, like we did. The bartender was friendly (even though we were surrounded by regulars, he was super nice and attentive) and knows his oysters, this place is ALL about the oysters......west and east coast offered, lots of varieties and they were excellent, mignonette included. And the Fried Chicken....best I have ever had. What a great find, especially for anyone who drives often on 684......and quit frankly, I would even make a special trip from Larchmont just to dine. It ‘s the kind of place that is so good, you wish it was around the corner from home.....
Pricey but worth it! Best Dover sole I ever had and it's hard to find authentic dover sole. There's a bar menu and amazing sides that can provide more reasonable dining but the main dishes and specials are worthy of a splurge or special occasion!
The food is amazing. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is crowded, chaotic and noisy, especially on the weekends for brunch when there are lots of children. We found it fun. Some might not. Try the lobster hash for brunch. Fried chicken for dinner. Oysters galore. Delicious cocktails. Outside seating feels more casual. Indoor a little more formal.
Met friends there for brunch. Food was fresh and great! Atmosphere was nice, and drink options were many. Might have been a little pricey, but worth it.
Our server was very pleasant and helpful. Food was good but the eye rolling bacon rib was disappointing. It was very dry. Server said she would talk to kitchen but that was the last we heard about it. Will go back just won't order rib again.

We wrote about Farmer and the Fish, a farm to table restaurant in North Salem, last July when it was only a few months old, and I've been dreaming of going back ever since.
I've always loved the beautiful 18th century house that was once John-Michael's and before that Purdy's Homestead. Its history dates back to 1775 when it was built by Joseph Purdy and in 1973 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
