“A lovely, caring community. We dreaded moving our mother into a facility, but when our father entered hospice care this spring, we knew we had to find the right place for her. In the difficult time around our father’s death, the staff at Artis was welcoming, comforting and reassuring about everything we were going through. I was so moved when I first toured the community because they had decorated the entry of a model room with a collage tribute to our mother’s interests from information they had gathered online; it was such a thoughtful thing to do and made me feel that our mother would be seen as an individual. This was confirmed when we moved our mother in and she was welcomed with warmth and respect. Our parent’ apartment had been their launching pad to explore the world and enjoy their many interests. As our mother’s dementia worsened, however, their world became limited to that small place, with very little interaction outside the family. Artis has given our mother the freedom to stroll around the lovely communal areas and grounds at will and to socialize with the caring staff and other residents. There are many varied activities, and residents can do as much or as little as they choose; unlike at a general assisted living facility, everything is open to everyone. I am lucky to live near enough to Artis that I can visit whenever I wish. Every time I come, I marvel at how well cared-for all the residents appear and with what kindness and respect the are treated by each and every staff member. No matter when I arrive, the whole community and our mother’s room are spotless. Our mother has settled right in to her new home and it is a profound relief to me and my siblings knowing that she is being cared for and protected. I can’t recommend Artis enough.”

“This was better than i expected. I just needed a night to sleep peacefully and got just that. The customer service from beginning to end was great. The room was nice in size, clean, and cozy. There was a full kitchen complete with dishware and utensils. There were a few mold spots in the tub. The breakfast was not what I expected though, I thought everything has been returned from Covid days. I didn't care for the egg souffle, the bagel was okay, and the tea options were limited. Most of the options were black tea. I did not visit the pool or the fitness area. The outside grounds were kept very well too. I would recommend this to my clients! As a licensed travel advisor, I enjoy visiting without letting them know I am checking it out to sale!”
