She asked pertinent questions and then went immediately to "work" on the muscle groups that were causing me the most intense pain. It's also important to have a doctor who has the heart of a teacher so that you understand what is happening. After my first visit, I already had good relief from the pain and now am 95% pain free. A combination of deep massage, electrical stimulation, an exercise program and good advice all contributed to my recovery.
