The office is very clean and the staff is very efficient with time management we are always seen at or before our appointment time no unreasonable wait times. Recently a family member had a dental emergency and couldn’t seem to get an appointment anywhere. I called Dr. Chen and she saw him immediately and even stayed late to fix the issue. “I had such a wonderful experience w/ Dr. Fasman. I went into his office after avoiding the dentist for years over anxieties of a former disastrous dentist who I trusted for over a decade only to find out she wreaked havoc all those years in the mouths of my entire family. I literally cried as he called me into the chair, as i was explaining that I'm not an awful human with terrible dental hygiene, but that I have a wild fear of the dentist. We are talking my teeth have kept me up at night, haunted, that I was not seeing someone to address the issues I assumed were piling up in there. Dr. Fasman was as empathetic as possible. He relieved my fears with patience and promised we could tackle anything that could be wrong and he was absolutely right. He grabbed me a bunch of tissues in case my sobbing continued in the chair as he got started. He checked in with me many times along the way as he gave me a cleaning and worked on a filling. I can't tell you how amazing I felt tackling this fear, and with his help and understanding, it left me feeling relieved and incredibly happy with my choice of dentist. He talked me through everything he was doing, peppering in fun conversations. He is professional, personable, and great at what he does. I will be going back for my future cleanings and dental work, and will be referring him to anyone in the area and/or who will be willing to travel to him. Lucky and grateful to have found his services. Which reminds me: his assistant, Tara, is just as wonderful. Sweet, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Honestly could not have had a better experience. “Another 5 star visit to BDI, this time with Dr Allyson Supowitz. A broken crown & broken root needed extraction, reconstructive work & sutures. Everything went so well, from anesthesics to stitches, I was barely aware it happened. Dr. Supowitz, and her kind and able surgical assistant Kamisha, were exceptionally gentle, solicitous, & competent. Dr Supowitz called me later that evening to make sure I was still doing well.. I’ve had a ton of dental and periodontal work done in my long life, I know GREAT when I encounter it! Kudos to Dr Farber for adding these two exceptional individuals to his practice. I’d give them 6 stars if I could!”

“I was referred to Dr. Roxene S. Gascoigne by my dentist when she determined that I need a root canal. I could no longer stand the pain in my back molar due to its extreme temperature sensitivity, but I was apprehensive about getting my first root canal. My dentist must have sensed my concern about the procedure, so she assured me "Don't worry, Dr. Gascoigne is the best! She'll take good care of you." I made an appointment and appreciated the subsequent reminders about it by phone. A great convenience was getting a link to a web site that allowed me to fill in a bunch of forms before my actual visit. A root canal has a reputation of being a very painful procedure, so to quite be honest I was a bit scared. However, Dr. Gascoigne with her mellifluous voice explained the procedure to me in layman's terms and quickly put my mind at ease. Her assistant explained that I would have to wear sunglasses and headphones during the procedure. The sunglasses were for protection against the bright lights. "Why the headphones?" I asked, "So that I don't hear myself scream?" I asked Dr. Gascoigne point blank "Is this going to hurt like hell?" She smiled and assured me that I would feel no pain, and that the headphones were for music to put me in a relaxed mood. Hearing those words was like taking a heavy dose of Valium. After getting comfortably numb with a local anesthetic Dr. Gascoigne went to work, and when the drill hit my tooth ... NO PAIN! What a relief that was. The whole procedure went smoothly, and the drilling sounds were muted by the relaxing music of Miles Davis. My root canal didn't hurt at all. My initial fears were totally unfounded. I thought I would be writhing in pain like Dustin Hoffman in the film "Marathon Man" when Laurence Olivier repeatedly asks him "Is it safe?" Silly me. In summary, if you need a root canal, I highly recommend Dr. Gascoigne!”
