“I can truly give 5 stars to the Renfrew Center, NYC site. They are fully staffed, and the staff genuinely care about the full wellbeing of the patient. I have also seen the NYC site become more knowledgeable about the impact of trauma on EDs, to better help and understand the needs of some patients. The dietitians use a Health At Every Size approach, and are extremely knowledgeable and supportive. The therapists each have different approaches, but all understand the importance of connection and using skills for long term recovery. This location also utilizes art and drama therapy to create a different path forward to recovering. I can never thank the staff at this site enough for teaching me that I am capable of recovery, and that I deserve it. Thank you Renfrew, for everything.”

“Peekskill Strength CrossFit is truly a gem! I Crossfitted without taking it too seriously a few months before Covid, and completely stopped until fall 2022. My wife had never Crosfitted until she stepped inside Peekskill Strength. I honestly don’t think a review can outline, explain or describe what this gym & community is. We moved to Peekskill from the city, and from the first interaction with Jess, the atmosphere felt genuinely welcoming. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, encouraging, motivating but most of all fun! They’re very passionate about what they do & help athletes become better each day in a sustainable, safe & enjoyable manner. Each person is individually assessed making it a very safe place for someone who is just starting Crossfit or for someone who’s experienced. I can truly say that I genuinely enjoy fitness now & look forward to being a part of the daily WODs. Outside the box, there are amazing community events and we’ve made lifelong friends through the gym. If you recently moved to the area, looking for a new box or simply curious about Crossfit, just don’t go by the reviews - drop in for a class and most likely than not, see why joining the community could be one of the best things you’ll do for yourself.”

“I'm lucky to have found Dr Koutelos and chosen him as my PCP after my previous doctor (who was also great) left his practice to join the VA. Dr Koutelos in addition to being great in other ways has basically saved my life by heeding something in my heart rhythm during my routine physical exam. This unusual rhythm was known for a few years and may or may not have worsened, but Dr Koutelos was concerned enough to refer me for an echocardiogram that revealed serious valve and aortic aneurysm problems. He then researched and referred me to an excellent cardiac team at Columbia NYP in New York City, and was closely involved as my PCP and advisor during my subsequent evaluations by them. This resulted in my open heart surgery which went off very well. Dr Koutelos has also been very attentive to my other health issues and has an excellent team in his office. As a bonus, he is also very affable, approachable and a wonderful human being.”

“I absolutely love this place. It is such a calm and welcoming space with a great sense of community. I have been to a couple classes there (tummy time, postpartum yoga) and greatly enjoyed both. I also stopped in a couple times without a class booked- the location was convenient for me as I was often taking 84 to 684 and vice versa. Twice I stopped in to nurse my infant, knowing it would be a safe and welcoming place (and much more comfortable than in my car). I recently moved and wish there was a place like Baby Botanica near me. As a new mom it is so comforting to know that there is a one stop shop for moms, babies, toddlers and beyond. I highly recommend checking out their calendar of events- I continue to be impressed by all they have to offer- I only wish I had more time to take advantage of it all!”

“I brought my newborn baby in for her first pediatrician visit after she was diagnosed with a tongue tie. We were able to breast-feed but I did notice something off about her latch and her feeding behaviors. I called Dr. Kaminer’s office to see what could be done and they told me he could see her and that if needed, a laser frenectomy would be done to correct this issue. Upon speaking with the doctor and describing the situation, he told me over the phone that there is probably also a lip tie that is worse than the tongue tie and that he would examine her when we came for our appointment. I brought her in several days later, and both the Doctor and assistant were kind enough to come in to the office before office hours to accommodate this appointment for us. Upon examination, a tongue tie and a tight lip tie were present, and Dr. Kaminer then carefully explained the procedure and what to expect. He offered me a chance to ask any questions I may have had. They had me swaddle the baby and lay down in the chair with her on my chest. He gave her a little bit of numbing medication into both areas and then slowly lasered both her lip tie and tongue tie. I was expecting my baby to be much more uncomfortable during the procedure, but I was surprised how smooth it went and how great Dr. Kaminer and his staff were during the procedure. After about 20 mins the whole thing was over, and I could see both areas released, and they even allowed me to immediately breastfeed to see if I noticed a difference! Already I could tell her latch was better. I feel so grateful for Dr. Kaminer and his staff being able to immediately get us in and take care of this issue so that we could re-establish breastfeeding successfully.”

I decided on Tribeca because of the caliber of talent/education, proximity to my apartment, and general preparedness after school. I was able to complete the program within 6 months.
