“I highly recommend Fit Body Bootcamp. The trainers are motivating and they keep you moving throughout the workout. The workout is 45 minutes long and the exercises are planned out in advance to target different parts of the body each day. You never have to waste time deciding what you are going to do. Each exercise is demonstrated and the trainers help you with your form if needed. There are modifications you can do if a particular exercise is not good for you due to injury or other issue. There are occasional “challenges” that help motivate you to push yourself to reach your goals. I did the 6 week challenge and “won” because I lost the most weight (16 lbs.). I think if you know you are doing your best and reaching your goals then you’ve already won, but it’s still nice to be acknowledged. It’s a nice environment with friendly people but you are able to stay focused and get in, do your workout, and get out and on with your day. There is an app to schedule your classes which helps keep you accountable for showing up. Darren, the owner is always responsive and available to help you with any questions and also provides suggestions for dietary choices to help maintain your goals. “It’s not an easy decision to move a parent out of their home to assisted living but at some point, it’s the best decision and The Bristal in Jericho is the place to be. We moved our mom there. She was very hesitant (like your parent might be) and thought we were “putting her away” but we weren’t. We were just moving her to an apt in a place that had everything she needed…a wellness center, library, dining service with choices you can’t believe, an outdoor pool where it’s so relaxing to sit outside, arts and crafts, beauty parlor, day trips, movie theater, cafe socials and most of all.. the nicest and most caring people that work there who will make your mom or dad feel so welcomed every minute of the day. My mom loves it as do all the residents I speak to. What more can you ask for? I highly recommend you do your research but my guess is that you will choose The Bristal in Jericho.”
