“I called before and spoke to Moses. we're in the preliminary stage and will need to purchase carpet for installation within the month. This has to do with co-ops and/or apartments requiring carpets so we got to buy it. I did request a price for measuring for the carpet and they told me there was no charge. no charge but they will take a deposit that means that if they measure you got to buy it from them. That was a bit disingenuous but that's okay That's kind of how all carpet retailers are. I also indicated that I wanted prices separately for carpet for padding for installation and delivery. Plain and simple That's the only way to get a true idea of what each thing cost one thing everything together is a way for all kinds of hidden costs to be lumped in there. Overall this is a nice little carpet store and Moses was very friendly. Moses has been there like 20 years and the store itself has been there at least that long if not longer with the same owner.”

The chicken taco came out maybe in 4 mins later. I don’t want my tacos before my drink. I feel like they should know that. Otherwise the server was attentive and friendly. I want to specifically call out the quality of their tortilla. Each taco had generous meat and too much for the size of the tortilla. But the tortilla held the meat and sauce incredibly well. It wasn’t soggy nor did it fall apart.”

“We used Sugarland for our wedding reception summer of 2021 (the weather was stormy but cleared up and cooled the temp down so it was perfect temperature even though it was August). The venue is gorgeous and the food was very tasty! It was so convenient for the wedding party to be able to stay in the houses across the street. I highly recommend choosing this for your wedding! Nancy and her staff were wonderful to work with and incredibly they were able to make all the food garlic-free for me (I'm allergic)! A comment things going in that I wish I would have known earlier: 1) when you meet with Nancy, be sure that all the details that you discuss is on the quote. There was a minor snafu but she was able to work it out in the moment and I (the bride) didn't know there was an issue to begin with! In hindsight, I should have mentioned that the detail was missing from the quote but I had assumed that she remembered even though she has so many weddings to deal with. 2) They do allow fireworks which was awesome! Be sure that Nancy has added to the contract that they will set them off for you. Day of, the person she said would do it, didn't want to so we had to scramble to find someone to light them off. Thankfully her bar staff came to the rescue! Overall this place was wonderful in every way possible! A little more organizing/planning better and the event would have been 100% perfect! PS the sound in the barn is tricky - the people off to the sides of the barn and outside couldn't hear announcements well. You may want to give your DJ a heads up.”

The individual lessons have provided her the opportunity to focus on learning the flute faster than would be possible in her band class. Sally is an experienced teacher, who clearly has played flute herself for some time.
