“Being from Chennai, I've always loved kothu parotta. I've known it is famous in Sri Lanka, but never had the chance to taste it as part of Sri Lankan cuisine until now. The Cheese Kothu was great. The owner of the store was a nice person who loves sharing his story and was very kind enough to make sure we like what we're eating and suggested different sides. They also had many srilankan groceries that were worth learning and browsing. The journey to Staten Island was long and Staten Island looks very deserted and weird but the food was worth it.”

“I stopped into the new location recently in search of a cute non cheesy shirt I can wear to the Bills game. I was pleasantly surprised at the cute selection of their own branded Buffalove apparel and accessories. There is also a smoothie bar inside which is random but kind of cool. Tons of masks, fun glass wear, water bottles and apparel adorned with the Buffalo/ heart logo. I liked that there was a variety of seasonal items, things designed for teachers and nurses (the backbone fo this city) and different color ways of clothing that weren’t red, white and blue or neutral. Tons of football themed, non Bills branded items and some very nice the dyed and pastel stories as well. The shirt I liked was long sleeved and I was looking for a short sleeve or a tank. I’ll come back again soon to see if they update their selection.”

For an appetizer, we shared a dish with ox tongue in it ( I can't think of its name) and after that, a tomato based soup with beef and enoki mushrooms. They were both very tasty! They were creamy, and packed with flavor. The range of flavors available was impressive, from classic chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous options like peanut butter. The milkshakes provided a refreshing and indulgent addition to my meal. However, there were a few drawbacks that prevented me from fully enjoying my experience at Five Guys. First, the prices are a bit steep for a fast-food burger joint. Another issue I encountered was the consistency of their bread. On multiple occasions, I found the buns to be slightly soggy, which took away from the overall experience. A burger's bun should be able to hold the ingredients together without becoming soggy or falling apart. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Five Guys. In conclusion, Five Guys offers decent burgers, delicious fries, and tasty milkshakes. However, the restaurant falls short in terms of its pricing, making it a less appealing option for those seeking an affordable meal. Additionally, the occasional issue with soggy buns is a noticeable downside. If you're willing to overlook these drawbacks and appreciate the flavorsome burgers and fries, Five Guys can still be a satisfying choice for a casual meal, but be prepared to splurge a bit.”
