The roast beef at Charlie the Butchers is devine 😁🙏 It's so tender and shaved/sliced so thin and about melts in your mouth. I picked up two sandwiches for my Dad and I along with root beer and Slim Jim's. It was a great lunch. We'd visited mom's grave ealier as (@ HILLCREST CEMETERY on Abbott Rd. Not far from the BILLS Stadium), haven't been able to go for awhile. A beautiful day weather wise and my not having to rush to work today. Getting to spend time with my 90 yr young dad is awesome. He needs no assistance to get around which I praise the Lord for. 😇😁🥰”

“As a long time resident of the neighborhood, this Checkers deserves 5 stars. Every time I come in the employees look happy working together. Very nice people and efficient. Normally there’s 2 workers. One on the cashier and one cooking, the cashier will help the cook. They are fast & efficient. Never had any issues with the food. The only thing is I think the seating area is way too big so it can give off an empty feel. But if you have a family of 10+ there’s plenty of seats haha.”

The fried chicken is really tasty and the yellow rice is a great side option with the steamed veggies. We also got the salmon which was perfectly cooked and the white rice, beans and maduros. These beans were really good and not salty like you find at many other places. Really dislike overly salty beans, shows a lack of attention to detail. We split a cheese empanada and I will say my wife was initially mad that I got a cheese empanada and not a beef or chicken one but after eating her half asked more than once if we had more cheese empanadas. So now she's mad I only got one. Smh. Will be coming back again and again because the food was that good.”
