“Good today for lunch. Shepard's Pie recommended by waiter was tasty as was Beer of the Month, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, on draft. The waiter offered a taste first. We had eaten there many times, but not recently since before at both lunch and dinner we found the food disappointing to downright bad. Today an old friend suggested we lunch there, I accepted and found both the food and service good. I will go back”

“Pretty much everything here is great. They have deli salads like tuna, veg tuna, chicken, waldorf chicken, tomato and mozzarella, etc. Prices are a little expensive, but the quality is really good. The fresh cut fruit like the mango is amazing. They have great Italian sandwiches as well. I did get a salad once with grilled chicken, which was rubbery, but that was only 1 time.”

The décor is like being in a New York City restaurant. The owners are charming and funny. The staff is very consistent. The food is always excellent. Their specials are always changing and they are the type of place where you can ask for something this way or that. “While I think the staff here has improved over the years, they can still improve. The donuts however have improved exponentially. I had a chocolate donut with chocolate frosting. The donut itself was fresh and moist and fudgy, with not a hint of shortening or that greasy mouth feel. The frosting same thing, great flavor and creamy. Second donut was a chocolate coconut. Chocolate donut was same good quality as the first with the addition of nice sweet and fresh coconut shavings. Not sure if there is new management here or a new baker or both but my hat is off to the management and the staff. Nice job!”
