“Seriously get this guy a million or 2 so he can start a franchise, but only if he personally oversees each one! I mean this is it, smaller, sweet, white-haired guy who's actually from Italy, and so nice he feels like your grandpa, and pizza, wooow, best I've had in NY. And I've tried a lot of NY pizza. Can't say anything bigger than that. Aaand, the tomatoes taste like they were from his garden.”

“Food is fantastic, service is great. Everyone is very friendly, never waiting on anything. We got the sesame chicken and spicy shredded beef, both were amazing. Chicken has the perfect crunch on the outside but well cooked interior. Sauce was delicious. The crunchy shredded beef was out of this world, couldn't stop eating it. Everything is served family style so keep that in mind when ordering.”

“Beautiful location on the canal. We were looking for a place to enjoy some casual dining in an outdoor setting and Wide Waters came to mind. Great red hots and coney Island dogs with fantastic curly fries. To top it off, the milkshakes ( they make any flavor that thy can with their large ice cream selection) were heavenly! All that for under 20 bucks, too! I think they will see me a few more times this summer!”

“I stopped in here one Monday evening to check them out because they were newly opened. The walls are plastered with photos, maps, and other images that reflect Guyana and Guyanese culture at large. The little lanterns over the seating areas are really cute. The server was very friendly and answered any questions that I had. I wasn’t sure if they were doing dine-in service so I asked if I could sit and wait before leaving. She told me that was absolutely fine and offered me a complimentary caramel. I bought a mixed Chinese fried rice that was absolutely delicious. It had a smidge too much of sesame oil but otherwise it was great. I normally bake sponge cake but this restaurant had one of the best sponge cakes that I’ve ever eaten. It was so moist and flavorful! They have a lot of menu items that you typically wouldn’t find at other Guyanese restaurants but you certainly would find in a Guyanese home. The prices were also reasonable! I will definitely return here again if I’m ever in the area.”

“The food was good. All of these photos were take after we sampled. We couldn't wait! Portions were large especially the ribs. We had enough left over for another meal or two. Really enjoyed the pulled pork because it comes without the sauce so you can control how much you want to put on.”

“This is a very good Chinese restaurant! The staff was wonderful and friendly....especially our waiter Kevin. He made great recommendations and was extremely professional and personable. He was terrific! The place was decorated nicely. It was a low noise atmosphere, so it's a good place to eat and enjoy a good conversation. The food was delicious! I enjoyed the Pork Belly Buns, Dumplings, Spicy Ramen, Orange Beef, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Duck Fried Rice and the Avocado Salad! My Leeche Martini was also very tasty. Plus the Sake hit the spot! Our group enjoyed the entire experience and will definitely come back.”

“The egg salad was just good, not great. The flavor was great, good level of mustard, but it was too Mayo-y, making it too loose. Also no diced onion or celery. Everything else we ate (French fries, home fries, waffle, sunny-side up eggs) were all 5 stars but I only review egg salad.”

“Visited here last night for a friends bday dinner. Walking in the place , we knew it was super fancy and the restaurant was very cozy. The decor and ambiance was amazing. We were greeted and seated right away . As we had a large group , we had the opportunity to sit in there private room behind the wine wall. It was very private and loved the square table setup. It was 10 of us and I was able to see each and every single person. Food wise, we ordered bunch of apps like Meatballs , Calamari , Pizza , Crab Cake etc . Everything was good, portions were on the smaller side I felt. Now on to the main course Porterhouse and Lamb Chops. Lamb Chops were amazing I actually wished I ordered that. Steaks on the other hand I felt were undercooked to our liking . We had said we wanted medium and it was more on the rare side . But over all was we ate it , definitely didn’t like their House Steak Sauce , it was like sweet ketchup. Ambiance- 10/10 Service - 10/10 Parking - Easy and Valet Available Reservation- Needed all Time”

“Great food and ambiance with a live band playing from the second floor, and great service. Fantastic happy hour (one of the best I’ve seen!) the pan broiled oysters and Cajun shrimp were outstanding. Great selection of drinks and cocktails. Be sure to check out the speakeasy in the basement - they offer a other selection of specialty cocktails and lively ambiance. Perfect for a date or a nightcap.”

“My wife and I were traveling north and stopped in Ellicottville for lunch. We wanted to try a new place, so we checked out 12 Gates of EVL. And we were so glad we did! What an incredible space. The manager was super friendly and eager to serve us. The selection of beer is impressive. I had the Peruvian Porter, which was tasty. My wife had a sour, and she enjoyed every bit of it. We ordered the brisket nachos. So good!! I highly recommend 12 Gates of EVL.”

“The food is usually good here. Not disappointed tonight! I had an off menu entree-Eggplant Parmesan. Hubby liked the fried chicken! They were training a new guy today. A little mix up with our order. They broccoli side was never put in with the original order. Great local spot with good choices and a friendly staff.”

“When with my mom to pick out her hanging flower baskets for mother's day we get them every year from there and they are very big and beautiful and they last all summer. We also got some Fresh cider donuts and apple fritters from inside, along with some miscellaneous treats to try. Edit: just went with my mom for lunch it was poping inside, but still in no time we got our food and enjoyed a nice lunch.”

“This place is brilliant. The owner knows what's important: love. You get an easy-going and comfortable entrance. The staff are so kind. You can taste the care put into their food. I ordered the BBQ Bacon burger and Sweet Potato waffle fries. What a combination! The juicy, flavorful burger topped with crispy bacon. The diversity in flavors was impeccable, each bite unique but consistent. And don't get me started about those fries....Sweet Potatoes, Cinnamon, Sugar. Must I say more? All this paired with outdoor seating with some quality people watching🔆 I had to go back in and get a smoothie to enjoy on my walk back home through Prospect Park. By far my most enjoyable experience in Brooklyn. I say this with ease: get over to American Vegan ASAP. You won't regret it.”

Also ordered the turkey sandwich, which had fresh carved turkey and garlic Parm fries which were so crispy and yummy.🤤😋 Will definitely come back and look for other locations.”

“I recently visited Five Guys for burgers, fries, and milkshakes. While my experience had its ups and downs, overall, I found the food to be decent, but a little overpriced. Let's start with the positives. The burgers at Five Guys were quite satisfying in terms of taste. They were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The patties were thick and the option to add or remove extra layers, enhanced my experience. The variety of toppings available allowed me to customize my burger to my liking which was a big plus. The fries at Five Guys were another highlight of my meal. The portion sizes were generous. The fries alone were reason enough to visit Five Guys. Milkshakes at Five Guys deserve a mention as well. They were creamy, and packed with flavor. The range of flavors available was impressive, from classic chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous options like peanut butter. The milkshakes provided a refreshing and indulgent addition to my meal. However, there were a few drawbacks that prevented me from fully enjoying my experience at Five Guys. First, the prices are a bit steep for a fast-food burger joint. Another issue I encountered was the consistency of their bread. On multiple occasions, I found the buns to be slightly soggy, which took away from the overall experience. A burger's bun should be able to hold the ingredients together without becoming soggy or falling apart. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Five Guys. In conclusion, Five Guys offers decent burgers, delicious fries, and tasty milkshakes. However, the restaurant falls short in terms of its pricing, making it a less appealing option for those seeking an affordable meal. Additionally, the occasional issue with soggy buns is a noticeable downside. If you're willing to overlook these drawbacks and appreciate the flavorsome burgers and fries, Five Guys can still be a satisfying choice for a casual meal, but be prepared to splurge a bit.”
