“A great afternoon spot to enjoy good food and great company. We ordered a few items off their dessert menu and were happy with the variety of sweet treats. A light, tropical carrot cake was the tables favorite. The sorbets had big refreshing flavors. The chocolate cake was dense and could have use more of the mousse. It was wonderful to people watch and enjoy the sun and shade.”

“My friend and I went there for lunch. We chose the pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich and each had a side. The meat was very tender and flavorful and the sides of coleslaw and broccoli salad were also good. We were also given a complementary sample of the Brunswick stew, which was a little spicy but tasty. The restaurant has been redecorated and has a very homey atmosphere but is small with limited seating. There is also no table service. The only drawback I felt was that they use disposable bowls for the sides and serve the food on a paper-lined tray. I would have preferred actual dishes and silverware instead.”

Great location near community garden, a great public elementary school, most importantly a bus stop. Parking is spotty. Prices are reasonable. Don’t hesitate to stop by and visit. “We came to eat indoors at Oscars not realizing that the Latin food was usually for takeout. It was a quiet rainy Monday night and they let us order from that menu in their diningroom. We all shared the salad with avocados, empanadas- spinach and the eggplant with the salsa of pickled onions and peppers, tamales, garlic shrimp, sweet plantains, and arroz con pollo with tres leches for dessert. Everything was delicious like homemade and even the people at our table who are less familiar with Latin cuisine were very happy. I hope to come back soon with my family.”

“Very good experience in this nicely planned setup of plenty of tables, decent room to move around plus a decent size bar. I called ahead to make sure they were open and the greeting was pleasant on the phone and in person. The table and kitchen service was good and quick. The food was cooked to the right tenderness and my cold apps were good too. I had the Bubagunush that I combined with my pre-meal pita bread and olives in oil, Jerusalem Salad and my entree the Lamb Moussaka. Everything tasted good even though I was expecting more of a spicy taste before using the red sauce served with the meal. But, each person's palate is their own.”

“I really like this store because if you look around closely you'll find good deals on organic items such as olive oil, yogurt, cereals, breads, flours. Some things are more expensive though. They don't have a great selection of produce per se either. You also won't be able to get all of your shopping done here because they don't carry everything on a shopping list. They do have a nice hot bar that has decent food, with seating upstairs. The workers also have always been nice so far.”

“Came here after a spending some hours at Jones Beach. Love it here. If you sit outdoors you get a great view. We had a variety of different appetizers and they were wonderful. They have a variety of cocktails that sound good but I had a draft and Jack Daniel's on the rocks. The drink was pricey $15 compared to the second highest I've paid which is $12 at Dorlan's in the Seaport. I didn't mind because the vibe and the view is outstanding. There was a band playing some good tunes. Watching the boats and jet skis going by plus seeing the seagulls flying was a wonderful addition. The crowd is diverse and friendly. The service is a little slow but it is a big place so it's understandable. Definitely want to go back.”
