(April 21, 2021, 11:09 am)The 1-mile trailhead starts between the park office and playground. Follow the trail downhill to the right and along the lake. The trail is a single car width wide and alternates between large gravel and dirt. There are a couple of steeper, but short, grades. Nothing difficult for a healthy adult. The trail follows the lake for about three quarters of a mile and then cuts east through the woods, ending at the road near the park entrance. At this point you can either take a right and follow the road a quarter of a mile back to the parking-lot at the lake marina. Or return on the same trail back to the parking-lot for a 2-mile walk. I watched a Bald Eagle flying over the lake searching for fish. There are multiple picnic table and benches along the trail. The park is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Visitors are asked to sign-in inside the park office.
