  One of the best parks in the area. Lots of big playgrounds, splash pad, train rides, 2 story merry go round, concerts, walking trail, and lots of special events.

  We live in Mooresville and make the trip to this park a few times every year. Never very crowded and packed with stuff to do. Perfect for kids up to about 10 or 11. Carousel and train rides are $1.50 and open in early April ok Saturdays and Sundays. Splash pad opens Memorial Day weekend, and is open every day starting in early June. The playgrounds are in good shape and keep my kids busy for most of the time we are at the park. Usually, the main lawn is off limits in the spring so the grass can grow in time for the park concerts. Super clean, well kept shelters, recycling throughout, bathrooms in good shape.

  Great place for the kids during a hot summer. Relatively inexpensive. The whole park itself is also great for the kiddos.

  I live in Charlotte and we drive up here just because we love this park! They have a splash pad, a cute train, a carousel, big playground and movie nights in the summer! The field is lovely and the landscaping picture-perfect. Movie nights are never disappointing. We've been to movie nights elsewhere and prefer them here because of the grounds, great staff and set up. It's a perfect place for families. There are concessions as well for snacks and usually send ice cream during movie night. You can go early, enjoy the other things at the park and play catch before the movie. My kids love it!
