“I went to Stonewall Jackson in 1995. I was able to get my GED there at age 15, scored 97 percentile (US). I'm weary of children getting their GED as I did even though I was still in school, I might not have dropped out. I needed more guidance, I became arrogant, I dropped out, so sure of myself and the construction business(es) I grew up learning with my father. Fail. My fault? Yes. Enabled? Yes. I hope they have more guidance now before people like me breeze through. The GED test itself was too easy even if the next best score was 245 (I scored 291/300) and some didn't even pass somehow. ***I lived in Massachusetts until I was 14 so I was already 2 grades ahead when I went to New Hanover HS (I was skipping school getting As), so just how accurate was any test? I'm 36 now with an IQ of 156, the IQ doesn't help, neither does the GED. Once you have a felony nowadays: you better have college on your resume!!!”
