  Great surgeon fixed my horrible sinus headaches that were debilitating. Also helped my son with his sleep apnea by removing his tonisils and allowing him to breath during sleep. Excellent all around highly recommend

  Personable, straightforward, and very thorough. Without a doubt a trustworthy doctor who seems to really know his stuff - - and will explain it to you in a way you can understand. I'm very grateful to have been his patient!

  I was recommended by a coworker to see Dr. Melon. I had a completely horrible experience before meeting Dr.Melon. A surgeon NOT connected with Dr.Melon ordered a thyroid uptake which meant I could not take my thyroid medicine for four weeks. I met Dr.Melon the fourth week of not having my medicine.I was in horrible shape! I had trouble concentrating, if I walked a few steps I had to sit down and rest. It was horrible! The reason I think it is important for me to share that is when I went in for my first time appointment I went with no paperwork explaining anything. His staff treated me with compassion. Dr.Melon came in, and if he was shocked by my appearance he was a gentleman about it. He actually cared! He actually listened to me!! Finally paperwork was faxed, but he had nothing to go by just my story until it arrived. It took awhile to tell it too, and he was not in a hurry either. He cared about me.I know that he is a very educated, smart, talented, and skilled doctor. I'm not trying to take anything a way from that,but the fact a new patient shows up with no paperwork in the shape I was in, and spends so much time listening and actually caring about me speaks volumes. He told me to start my medicine, and he did remove my thyroid. You can't even see my scar. Every single experience with Dr. Melon up to the surgery, the surgery itself, coming to see me in the hospital, and until he released me from his care has been an inspirational experience for me. I truly believe that God put Dr. Melon in my life. I absolutely love him as a human being and a doctor. He is an extremely smart, educated, skilled ,and talented doctor. What good does all that do you if you don't truly care about people? Had he not cared about me enough to listen to me on that Friday well I'm just very thankful he did. I give all praise to God, but He put Dr.Melon in my life.

  Dr. Melon was super professional, while still connecting with me! I was referred to Dr. Melon for a modified neck dissection on my right side by my Endocrinologist. I have had a long history with thyroid cancer, and have received multiple surgeries throughout the years. This is my first surgery with Dr. Melon. Before the surgery, he explained the process, reasoning, and possible complications, and made sure to answer all of my questions. At the hospital (after surgery) and at my post-op appointments, I felt that Dr. Melon understood my recovery process and stayed on top of it. I definitely felt to be in good hands at all points of the surgery process! I would highly recommend Dr. Melon to anyone and would go to him again!
