“If bacon ranks high on your breakfast or even lunch menu list Merritt's is the place to go. Single, double, monster portions on a variety of breads. Name your own joy. Wonderful outside shady seating among the bamboo trees (grass) in addition to limited inside seating. Price point has jumped recently (9/12/2022). Decent coffee and fast service. They have started to use the "ask for a tip" routine at the register. Since they have no wait staff this seems out of line but a growing trend in our community. Bottom line, if you enjoy a your bacon and want a generous portion of lean and tasty on your BLT you have arrived a Bacon Heaven.”

“This a family style traditional house of worship. Its located in Siler City, NC. It's a small church with few members but, the Lord still has his hand upon the children of God. Its Ole School as can be. When you walk in the door, you immediately feel at home. I use to be a member when Pastor Obie was pastoring an Ms. Lee was leading the choir, Ms. Lindsey was lead singer, Brother Lutterloh was CHIEF Usher, his son Mr. Lutterloh was on the Lead Guitar, Mr. McSwain was on the drums as Mr. Utley played the keyboard; those people had the place rocking on Sunday morning. The Good Times. I'm pretty sure the same vibe still exist. Stay tuned for an update....”

“This church is for you if you're into extra-long southern Baptist services with plenty of shouting and singing. Classic hymns most of us know by heart from childhood grandma church visits. Attended a funeral and burial on the property next door in the lovely old graveyard. Forget the funeral time, the funeral started over an hour earlier when locals started to arrive, to the families surprise. It worked out since the funeral lasted longer than expected too. The southern preacher had lots to say about everyone going to hell if you're not saved "by the blood". Everyone was kind, sweet, and caring poor country folk. Multiple clean bathrooms, plenty of parking, a great hall for dinner after the service, it's really a lovely country baptist church surrounded by trees and fields. I hope to stop back by to read the headstones and engravings from the early 1800s.”

But what happened to their Methodist heritage? He surely has taken a lot of liberty in his retirement! I love them and we miss them at Trinity United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem.”
