“We heard some really good things about Oceanfront Grill so we were excited to give it a try. There is not a lot of seating so my first suggestion would be to call and make reservations. My second suggestion would be to bring some extra money you're going to need it. My kids both got the burgers $8 and $11. My son got the double cheeseburger which was $11 and he added lettuce, tomatoes, onions and bacon. Which raised the price of his burger to $13. Just be aware that when you add even the lettuce and tomato and onions they will charge you for it. I ordered the single crab cake which was a 95% crab and had a delicious flavor. Our waitress was super pleasant and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. We sat outside on a deck of sorts that overlooked a pool. I wish we could have seen more of the beach though. Overall it was a great experience but the price kept it out of a five-star running.”

“Dinner at Okinawa was great. Surprisingly there were very few people there so we were able to get a table immediately even as group of 5. Service was quick and very friendly. Food was great. We did the regular party tray for $85 and it was more than enough for 4 people. I also ate the teriyaki chicken bowl which was also delicious, and had lots of fresh vegetables also. Would definitely eat here again.”

“This place was recommended by our tour guide from Corolla, in the Outer Banks as a good simple place for great fresh seafood. We both ordered the fried oysters plate for 18.00 and came with 2 plentiful sides of tasty canned green beans and slaw. The oysters were on the smaller size but fried perfectly and tasty. You order at the counter_ they hand you a buzzer and you go find a seat, when the food is ready- about less than 5-10 minutes, you go back to the takeout window and pick up your order. Simple and efficient and self serve your fountain drinks.”

“We tried this restaurant based on the positive reviews, I will say my husband wanted to walk out when we first walked in as it’s very small inside and the ambience to us, “is very very rustic, simple, basic”-if this place was filled there would be no way I would enjoy eating here because for us it’s like sardines crammed in a tin can. But that is us. Place is older so not pristine clean- Now I will say the young lady who that night was the front of the house, waitress and bartender, was super sweet. Food Was actually pretty good. Fish was great. Rice with 2 beans was a bit dry, crab dip appetizer was good, over all - enjoyable meal.”

“Had lunch here after the long drive from WV to NC (Outer Banks). We met some friends and decided to have lunch as a group of 8. Although the place was busy, we were waited on pretty quickly as it was not a server at your table kind of place. You placed your order and had a seat and the order was brought to your table. The food here was really good and they had an amazing steak and cheese sub. Probably one of the best I have had in a long time! It had a lot of tender meat that was very flavorful and gooey cheese that was a good compliment to the sandwich. I did notice that the sandwich had a fair amount of grease as did the onion rings but the food all had great flavor. Pricing was reasonable and the staff was friendly. “7/24/22 Visited the restaurant today after our Corolla Wild Horse Tour. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. and the kitchen staff cook informed us that they were closed. We were greeted by a young lady named Destiny who told us that we could get a takeout order. We tried their beef brisket & ribs with sides of fried okra, coleslaw and potato salad we asked for an order of baked beans which were left out and iced tea. The meat was good as was the potato salad and okra the slaw was okay. The ribs & brisket had really good seasoning and the BBQ sauce was good but a very small amount. We may try the Nags Head location next time to see if they have better preparation.”

“A friend recommended them. We are a small family so we order to pick up. Although the recommendation was to have them cater and I do not doubt they are amazing we are a small party. So we got shrimps, clams and mussels mix. Prepared with white wine and sat to eat. How they prepare things makes life simple, we loved it. “I absolutely love Currituck BBQ Company. I don't get to come here as often as I'd like, as we live almost an hour away, but my husband and I try to come here at least once a year. We made the trip today, and it was phenomenal as always. The pulled and rotisserie chicken is always melt in your mouth, and pairs great with the yellow SC sauce. The brisket is some of my favorite, and goes wonderfully with the tangy brisket sauce, and you can't go wrong with their true pork NC BBQ and red pepper vinegar. I also have to say, the hushpuppies that come with the meals are so good. The staff is always super friendly, the portions are large, and even when the restaurant is slammed, the ticket times are quick. If you are looking for actual NC BBQ, and Southern sides this is the spot to check out. I highly recommend Currituck BBQ Company.”

“Amazing experience all around! The food was top notch and the service was beyond top tier. The food times are a usual complaint I see on reviews here, but as someone who eats out and goes to higher end places food times are usually 45-1hr for freshly made food. Whenever my food comes out too quickly it’s usually not the best or top quality. This place does it right that’s really all I can say. “In May of 2022 we visited LIghthouse Pizza. This used to be Pasquale's Pizza - and when it initially changed ownership it was not great. We tried it again on our recent trip - and there has been a change again - for the better! This time, the pizza we ordered was FABULOUS! They even accommodated a special white pizza request that they had not made before. That pizza was so good we drove back to the shop just to tell them how good it was, and to add it as a regular menu item! It is not "NY pizza", so don't go in expecting that - but it is REALLY GOOD pizza. There were some guys right behind us raving about the food, and waiting for their 7 pizza order! The proprietor was extremely accommodating and we are looking forward to our late September trip to visit again for dinner! 7/16/22 UPDATE..My "special" white pizza with ricotta added to the pie along with tomatoes. Reheated from the freezer tonite and just as delicious as it was when we brought the leftovers home with us in May.”

“Absolutely the best climbing adventure around! During our vacation to Corolla, we decided to take on this challenge. And that it was… 4 layers of climbing up, around and through obstacles that increased in difficulty will wear you out! The staff members were extremely knowledgeable, happy and helpful. The challenge is - how far can you go? Be prepared to be tired. They do offer light snacks, ice cream and local beers too. The entire course will take some time to finish because this isn’t your ordinary climbing place! Take the challenge, you won’t regret it. Their pricing of photos and merch is very reasonable. “Really good crab. Not watery, easy to break. Snaps apart like a perfectly cooked crab leg should. I am absolutely stuffed after eating here. Place is smaller than Captain George’s but the quality is WAY better. Not even remotely comparable. They also kept the place packed with food. Zero waiting. Shrimp scampi, fried shrimp, crab legs obviously were all excellent. Had a peanut butter pie for dessert. We were seated first between 4:05 and 4:10. They need a few minutes to set all the food out so don’t feel like you have to show up early.”

“Great Food! we sat on picnic tables in the patio area. Very accommodating, we had a group of 24 and they very quickly spread us out on a few tables. Service was a little slow but the staff were working hard during prim dinner time. Food was excellent, crab cakes are the BEST! Seafood nachos were covered in seafood and fresh cheese, nice big servings too. Definitely recommend this place for family dinner”

“Nothing short of 5 stares here! Outdoor dining upstairs on the deck on a perfect night. We each had a delicious beverage to start along with an appetizer to share. Best fried green tomatoes we’ve ever had! Then dinner….Southern Seafood Boil served over grits was excellent. Very tasty but not heavy. The shrimp and scallop dish over pesto pasta was also a great choice. No room for dessert but we brought home the key lime pie for later. Wow!
