  Great Christmas display with a time and synchronized light show. This show is bright and you can time in on their radio station so that you can play your Christmas spirit loud for all to hear.

  The free Christmas light show is lovely and real gift to the community. The lights are synchronized to music you can listen to on your radio. We stayed for 45 minutes and the songs never repeated. It's been a highlight of the month for us.

  Rose of Sharon Baptist Church was my home church. I attend less than I used to, but that has nothing to do with the quality of services here. There is a great focus on children, along with volunteers and leaders who are just amazing with them. In the modern era I have honestly never seen kids at this church treated with anything less than love. I'm speaking of the church only, I cannot comment on the Daycare unfortunately, as I don't have any experience with it.
  
  There is also a focus on music, the mostly developed from the interest of the church body. A lot of the members have musical talent in find this to be a good place to express that. I'm not musical, but I know a lot of this is motivated by just a love of getting out there and using that talent to relax and have fun.
  
  Furthermore members of the church work with organizations that help people with disaster relief, going to locations to build and repair homes. They do a lot of good work, always collecting for a good cause or finding a project where you can use your own skills. If you like to be a little active it's great.
  
  The pastor (Pastor Jeff) is not the next Billy Graham, but who is? what I find is that he is a person that tries to be connected to the world. He tries to find parables and when he hits a good one, it can be quite meaningful. He is also a dedicated Shepherd that does his best to tend his flock.
  
  I would also say that the church and pastor do try to navigate around the political. Yes, like most Evangelical churches, you will find many conservatives (though you would be surprised at how often this isn't true). Regardless such things tend to be left for personal conversations and don't move into the ministry in any fashion.
  
  As much as this church was my home, at this moment it doesn't feel like the place I need to be for my own faith. It has nothing to do with the church, and everything to do with what feeds me spiritually. It is a church in flux, doing much good work but in need of members to help guide it into the future. There are few set ideologies among the entire church body, which is a good thing, but they need people with vision and ideas. If you want a church that needs you, this is probably a great one.
  
  If this church ends up working for you, you will find it a home away from home and a refuge when you need it.
