Probably...no, definitely...the most unique and interesting fish joint...maybe ever?
Amazing hush puppies, everything is flavored beautifully, with herbs where you don't expect. Just really delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Sandwiches/ rolls are elite! I've been to a lot of good, quick order eateries and this is up there. The seasoning and ingredients combo really works for me. The bread texture and taste. The fry on the entree. Great tea. Get a splash of lemonade. All made for a delightful lunch experience.

I will return. And soon. Staff is cordial. Place is clean. I'm glad I discovered this Durham gem.

The food was really good, and worth the price. It's a little expensive to be a daily lunch destination, but it's worth it as a nice treat. My wife and I enjoyed a lunch trip to the Saltbox and eating outside at a picnic table. It was enjoyable to eat good food outside after long indoor isolation.

Really good seafood with nice seasoning and spices. Hush honeys (hush puppies) had a unique flavor because of the honey. Slaw was very good too. It's a bit on the pricey side but still worth it for the food and to support local businesses.
