  Mr. Minnix is a very intelligent teacher. He is a very talented musician. He makes my kids laugh, and he is good with them. They love the lessons, and always want to come back. He seems to know my kids questions and the answers they need intuitively. My kids are now gifted at playing instruments. I highly recommend Minnix Music as the place for lessons in Winston-Salem.

  Four of my kids have been taught by Mr. Minnix. He does a great job helping them learn the different instruments they want to learn. He is very good at playing a lot of instruments at a professional level, and understands how musical concepts work from one instrument to the next. A couple of my kids have moved on to play multiple instruments. My daughter plays three instruments now. Bottom line, he's a good teacher and we are very happy with the lessons.

  Willy is a great instructor. He is patient and kind, as well as amazingly talented and experienced. I'm pretty sure he could teach me to play any instrument I would want to learn. He coached me into being a better singer. He is encouraging my slow to mature piano skills, without giving up on me!

  Willy taught two members of my family. He adjusts so well to the learner as he can break music skill down into easily manageable parts. He knows “shortcuts” and memory devices as well as intricate music theory for the advanced learner. The most impressive thing for me is how is always looking for a better way to teach music.

  Willy is the best when it comes to straight-forward, no fluff, no non-sense teaching. I have known him for 14 years now, and I have read his instruction books on music. I was amazed at how easy it was to comprehend and follow the lessons, and in a very short time I was playing a new instrument that I had never played before! Willy is a great instructor and a great guy!
