Like most “smart” consumers, I went on Goggle and read the prior reviews even going back a year to see what kind of customer service I “might receive” from this DMV location within the Eastridge Mall. I was a bite skeptical because of some of the “bad reviews”???? but decided to give it a try and see where this road takes me. Just like “how people can change for the better, businesses can change for the better too”. This is the perfect example. I arrived at 10:55 am and was out by 11:45 am. A little under 1 hour.

From the moment I stepped in the door, there is a “Sign-In” Kiosk and I had the pleasure of meeting a employee named “Paulette”. She took my first and last name, inquired what I was there to do ( Which was pay my taxes and receive my decal) . Than, she issued me a number. I sat down, and observed the entire environment. There are several chairs to sit down in. I would say over 30 +, the floor is clean and the employees are knowledgeable and fast. I made a phone call and before I know it, under 1 hour. My number was called. The only thing I didn’t like, is a lady was ” Calling out the numbers of the next customers to be serviced” and I wish they had an “intercom” system or better yet accurately show the numbers up on the monitor / TV screens so everyone can know what number they are actually on????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????????‍♀️(just in case someone stepped out to use the restroom). I didn’t see numbers being reflected on the monitors as stated????????

Once my number was called by the lady, I paid my taxes, got my decal and also was able to update my insurance since I got another insurance company for coverage. I also was able to ask the CS rep questions concerning when my taxes will be due again and I found out they would be due again this year 2019 due to me getting the car in Dec 2018. I wasn’t happy about this because I was told via the NC DMV customer service line in Raleigh that I wouldn’t pay taxes until February 2020. This was incorrect information. Nevertheless, I like this location❤️❤️Hence, the 5-star rating

But, boy oh boy the taxes are high here in NC. Hopefully like the rep told me the taxes will go down when I pay again this Dec 2019. They just don’t know by how much. So please don’t blame the DMV customer service representatives about our high NC taxes. They are just doing this very stressful job...blame NC state and city officials. I would recommend this location to anyone.

I walked in and saw at least 80 people waiting. My mouth fell to the floor. the lady asked me if I had checked in and she checked me in very quickly. I seriously only waited maybe 20 to 25 minutes and was finished. It is the nicest DMV I have ever been to in my entire life. I'm extremely happy!!

Office of NCDMV for tag and title for your car or other vehicles. Friendly staff that are generally very patient and helpful. There will be a wait, depending on day and time as to how long, so pack your patience as well.
