    We set out on a group ride and 5 miles in I got a flat.I packed the wrong spare tube and that led us to find the nearest bicycle shop. Enter Downtown Bicycle Works. The two others I was riding with fell in love with the shop and were easily distracted while Adam gave my bike a mini tune up! While I was there I went ahead and purchased a set of Continental Grand Prix 5000. Wow is all I am going to say about the tires. Adam let us use the shop to mount the tires. It was difficult to leave the shop however we finally did and had a great ride! Hit a lot Pr's the next day with 80 miles at an 18mph avg. and 2 weeks later my very first Century Ride! You guys Rock! My kind of bike shop!

    Today was my first visit to the downtown bicycle shop in summerfield North Carolina.
    They have a very friendly staff, good prices and a nice selection of inventory.
    I will definitely tell people about this place so other people can enjoy what I did.

    Definitely the place to go for any bike needs that you have. They helped me find the perfect bike for my son twice now (growing boy!!) The first bike was just a 12" BMX style bike and the newest one is a racing bike. The prices are competitive and if he doesn't have something you want he will try to get it for you. They also service and maintain bikes and have helped me with that several time also! Not only did he he help to service the bike but tried to teach me how how to do it myself next time... I would be lost without these guys!!!
