Kimber's Steakhouse

Ribeye special and chicken cordon blue: generous portions and delicious. Salad and red velvet was so good too. We'll be back to try your lunch specials next time. Brandy was wonderful, I asked her to pick a cocktail for me and she surprised me with one that was not on the menu. 🎉

So, Kimber's was a family style restaurant up until 2 years ago. They changed ownership and became a high end steakhouse. I have seen their billboard on I-40 and decided to stop Friday night. I was worried I would have to wait forever. That was not the case. The restaurant was clean and appealing. I decided to sit at the bar since I was alone. Emily was the bartender and was very attentive and told me all about the place. I ordered a nice glass of red wine and a 10oz filet and sides. One of which was a salad. I had seen one on their reviews. It was amazing! Emily advised em they cut their steaks in house. The filet was out of this world good. Better than any steakhouse in the area. Emily advised that during the summer it has been hard to keep the restaurant full. People go try this restaurant! It is pricy but it is worth every penny! As a foodie I love local restaurants that do specialty items. And Kimber's did not disappoint! Oh and try the homemade desserts. I had a key lime cheesecake that I could not stop eating!

This is my #1 favorite restaurant whenever I come to town. The ribeye steak is the best ever. Service is always great and all staff are very friendly. I have never had a meal there that wasn’t awesome. I had my dad’s 94th birthday party there and the setup was perfect. They thought of everything. I highly recommend to all. The desserts are really good, too.

We went to Kimber's for my dad's 75th birthday. He passed on January 8th suddenly from a stroke so it was an extremely sad day and the hubby wanted to do something nice for me.

In saying that, Kimber's was a nice steakhouse. I had the flounder and shrimp and would not recommend it. The shrimp tasted ok but the breading fell off as soon as I touched it and the flounder although fried was mush. I sent it back and they brought out another piece that was over-fried but the fish was still mushy inside. I didn't have it in me to fight over a piece of fish....He had the t-bone, fries, rice pilaf, and fried oysters and loved it. They bring out small loaves of French bread(?) or sourdough which were good and my salad was also tasty and very fresh.

I think if I would have gotten something else I would have enjoyed it more. The restaurant is a white tablecloth kind of place with candles on the tables and gets packed quickly. The server was very nice. They have a cooler case full of beautiful cakes and desserts. I will go go back and give it another try as I know sometimes there are off nights for food.
