Great place for young kids to explore and play! This little garden has lots of fun features. We enjoyed it and look forward to returning in the spring.
It is a beautifully designed garden that is perfect for families with small children. It has a vegetable garden for kids surrounded by 'vegetable benches' for kids. This has been designed with kids in mind. It also has a little amphitheater for kids. It is a place that can enhance the creative spirit within all of us. The park will be extended even further in the future, and I look forward to it.
The visitor center is a fantastic LEED certified building. It is encouraging to see buildings designed with the environment in mind. However, when my kids tried to run around in the beautiful grassy area near the fountain we found geese droppings spread consistently over the entire area. It seemed to me that it was used as organic fertilizer. There was also a strong smell as you neared the fountain. Probably had something to do with LEED. That was the only downside to our experience today. But the rest of the park was great so, it didn't bother us too much. No pets are allowed in the kids areas.
I'm grateful to the Greensboro Beautiful organization and the City of Greensboro for giving us this wonderful space.
Cute little park. But very small. Looks like they are going to expand. I'm sure it will be nice when its completely done.
