The velvety smooth fufu, silky texture from the okra and rich earthy flavor from the palm oil, was a delight. Okra soup and fufu is what’s pictured. Thankful we have a new restaurant in Greensboro which happens to be cuisine from Africa. Long overdue. Can’t wait to go back and try more. Picture doesn’t do Justice.
The best African food! This is senegalese food, the lovely food of Senegal! I am never disappointed. The people are lovely here and are happy to tell you about their food. I recommend teaching yourself about their menu before ordering so you dont miss out on anything especially delicious. A favorite of mine is their Okra Soup with foufou (pounded, fermented yam and plantain). Be sure to eat the fufu with your hands and dip it in the soup! I also love their Bissap juice which is like a sweet, hibiscus-mint juice.
I like their okra soup a bit more than Ghanaian okra soup i found out- they cook theirs through, while Ghanain okra soup its more slimy. Definitely worth the try, and if you like spicy, be sure to ask for a side of hot sauce to dump in your soup!
I also tried their Fataya which is also good, flavorful, and with perfect texture. I sat in the restaurant and enjoyed myself very much! It is small though, so maybe not best for a very large party.
Great food and and even better service. Bator, an amazing host and owner, really knows how to welcome customers. Based on her recommendation I ordered a traditional Senegalese dish that did not disappoint. I am now definitely a fan of Senegalese food and even more so of Saint Louis Saveurs in Greensboro. Also, do not the fact that the restaurant is next door to the Circle K detract from the food. The food and service far exceed what you may expect from such a restaurant. I’ll be back! Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Be sure to try the homemade Hibiscus-mint beverage. It has a unique but refreshing taste.
AMAZING QUICK AND VERY PERSONABLE AND REASONABLY PRICED!!!
I had questions lol
New African food place, the family helped and was very patient and passionate about dishes! I can't honestly even say what I ordered but went off their suggestion and AMAZING! The picture of fries looked so good so made it into a combo and these fries are also SOOOOO FRESH AND GOOD!!
Like other reviewers I'll def be back to try other dishes
This was the best cheesesteak and Gyro wrap in town. The St Louis Special Burger is very special just order it you will thank me later.
