Very nice park. Nice theater. They have a 10 minute map program (shows the route of the battle), then they have a 30 minute video about the battle. There are walking and hiking trails. There is an audio driving tour as well.
The only major national battlefield in NC, Guilford Courthouse is still heavily wooded like it was in 1781. The visitor center and monuments are really nice. I've been here multiple times and always love coming. This was one of the bloodiest battles of the Revolutionary War, and is worth a visit for those interested in history.
Having a National Park in Greensboro is definitely a feather in the city's cap! Great place to learn about history and get in some exercise. Check out the various off road trails for an escape from the city without even leaving town!
Interesting, however there is something lacking that I can't put my finger on. No real structure to how things are laid out, or where. Inadequate description of monuments outside of the visitors center. On the plus side, the 10 minute video in the theatre provides some background on the historical importance of the location, and the museum was nice.
