University Park

This is the perfect place to walk on a rainy day if you want to avoid the mud. The boardwalk is beautiful and walking this section was around 2 miles round trip. You get a nice view of Deep River and it goes back through some neighborhoods. A little uphill at points but not too bad. The Greenway itself continues on for many miles.

Well paved. Great for a walk. Stretches all the way to the Piedmont Center where you can continue on a paved trail or take some hiking trails

Love the extension of the greenway in this area. Definitely one of the most beautiful areas.

So fortunate to have the Greenway in High Point. It is a beautiful area.

Excellent elevated wide boardwalk through woods and wetlands. Mostly shaded with some areas of sun. Enough incline in spots to make you expend a little extra effort. Two CAUTIONS---It is shared by walkers and bicyclists so keep an open ear for bikes approaching from the rear and for sudden bikes approaching from your front; I urge bicyclists give out a shout or warning as they approach; two, POISON IVY is very widespread on many of the trees that are often only an arm's length out from the railings...be careful where you stop to look out as you may be face to face with massive clusters of the poison.
