  I love it here! It is never overcrowded. It's a great place to walk, relax in your car, cookout. Whatever, you name it. There are plenty of picnic spaces, gazebos, restrooms and playgrounds at both ends, tennis courts, volleyball courts. If you have your fishing license, you can fish. I go here to walk. I also go here to just sit in my car and think. If you've never been, you should.

  This is a running perspective. Hester Park is a great sports and picnic facility. Went there to run as I was on that side of town. The park trail is wide, well maintained, short (~1mile) gravel fitness trail (workout stations along the way) around a small lake. The trail was not a loop but could be a loop if you went through parking lots and the road some.

  A lot like Country Park in offerings. Hester Park is open for cars on the weekend however. There are two entrances, off Vandalia and Groometown. The entrances meet up so you can enter one and exit the other passing through the entire park.
  
  Shaded shelters, plenty of parking, pond with several docks, tennis courts and soccer field, volleyball nets, several bathrooms scattered, tables, gazebo, etc. One small playground.
  
  The knock on Hester is the area isn't the best in Greensboro. True. The fields and tennis courts seem a tad run down and under utilized unlike Country Park which is booming. The rest of the park seems well maintained however.
  
  Hester doesn't seem to have the traffic as other parks in the city so it is never as busy as other parks.

  Beautiful park. Great Nature trail. Lots of space. The playground is nice and sits across from the lake. Great views and plenty of nature and wildlife.
