“We were in town to walk the Lake Norman State Park and stopped in for lunch. So glad we did! The food was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. The brunswick stew was amazing. The side of fried okra was enough to share. White slaw was very tasty. All around everything was on par. Even better they serve Coke products. We were even treated to a serving of banana pudding for our first visit. Unfortunately, neither of us noticed the cash only sign... we were so embarrassed. With no cash or means of taking cash out at their ATM.. we had to promise them that we would mail a check (which we sent yesterday 11/27).”

It's a cafeteria style line. The fried chicken is what seemed to have the most notoriety on the menu and it didn't disappoint. Beans, beets, cabbage and such were all savory and accompanied my meal perfectly.”
