I love this butchers market man, their prices are very competitive and the meats are just too freaken good. The staff are so nice and real, their excited to be bringing in new meats, etc. They also renovated, obviously their doing everything right, can't wait to see them grow!
Great quality meats!
Pork is excellent, chicken is fresh, I will be doing all of my meat buying here!
Give them a shot!
The staff is so knowledgeable (I learned so many things about steaks in the 10 minutes I was in store) and super friendly. They told me their favorite way to cook the jalapeño poppers (oven and then glaze them with BBQ after…. So good 😍). The local Ribeye was phenomenal and I will be back soon!!
Purchased a local brisket here, great price and they trimmed it for us! Can’t beat the customer service experience either. We recently bought our own butchered cow but we will definitely be coming back!
This is the only review foodies will need to read. Follow along dear readers and will come with solid new owner's advice so new owners pay attention too! You'll thank me! This comes from a former chef and foodie's guide publisher perspective. I'm an out-of-towner but regular to Sanford area. With the town exploding and only growing by the industry building around it, there will be more mindsets like my own who know what's good and want the most locally sourced food possible. Less we mention, will thrive more as centralized food delivery in big box not only becomes less tenable, but prices pass general person's affordability. My first compliment goes to the grass fed beef. The burgers I turned them into were completely off-the-chain but possibly some of the best I've put into my mouth! The very helpful staffer, Gina, noted that because the beef was losing its color, it had gone on sale. WHAT? I'm not sure that was relative but there's no reason, even in Sanford now, that grass-fed-beef should have to go on sale. This is a marketing negative. If word got out (hint hint), they'd have a waiting list for it! Next, the locally sourced bacon! WOW. Just incredible. One of the shortcomings here was informed staff who could neither tell me more about the farms of origin (beef or bacon) or whether or not the bacon was nitrate-free (probably, yes). Again, an in-house education problem but hardly unsolvable. These are the things future loyal clients will want to know. On my way out the door, I noted the grab-n-go case with extras. They have locally made Sage Butter, other lush sides, including a pimento cheese that I also added to the burgers I was making and turned out fantastic. The pricepoint on that felt high so definitely a delicacy and one pimento cheese fanatics will pay for, but think some recipe adjustment wouldn't damage the product and might improve that price for overall value. They definitely want to develop sides for side addicts and keep that type of deli case turning over big profits! The very generous, Gina, noted that they were in a remodeling phase. Its probably time to do away with the old fashioned, super sterile, meat laboratory white walls and the like and go with darker, warmer colors to "beef" up the meaty vibes of what is clearly sailing towards a new generation of customers and success! Truly was a delight to find and cannot wait to come back! Best to them!
