(March 4, 2019, 9:35 pm)One of my absolute favourite places in Charlotte. Seemingly endless trails, quiet access road and lots of things to do in the Nature Center and around it. Limited parking but generally can find a space, even if it is a leisurely walk away. Only 20 minutes outside of the city and yet you feel like you're in the middle of nature. Beautiful.

(February 24, 2019, 4:40 pm)Park has a lot to do! There is a raptors center many trails and the historic latta plantation house! We were there for an afternoon and will definitely come back again to explore more. David the attendant at the welcome center is great!

(January 6, 2019, 2:29 pm)Great place for hiking and running! Over 10 miles of great soft trails for running or hiking. I haven't really done anything with the nature center, raptor center, or plantation but those are all viable options within the nature preserve too.

(December 21, 2018, 7:07 am)Went for an orienteering meet. Always is one of the more challenging courses, but it was very enjoyable. Their trails are very nice, and the gift shop is very reasonable. Been here multiple times, won't pass up the chance to go again.

Lace up the hikers, fill up the water bottle, and just open your eyes.
We have seen so much out here - time and time again.
Wildlife is endless.
If you do a little planning, and think its possible, you can easy put in 10 miles on the trails here!
(Maybe a horse ride is your thing - that's an option too!)
