I don't know how anyone could make it through the process of buying a house without a realtor like Andrew Long, which is the realtor we worked with when we went with DW Realty. It's a complex and trying process with so many moving parts that it's inevitable that at least one thing will go wrong. On top of that, it's also a confusing process, founded on concepts that most buyers are unfamiliar with that are expressed in foreign terminology. Without Drew, I couldn't imagine my wife and I ever having gotten through it at all.
Our process had more speed bumps than most. Drew helped us navigate through these obstacles deftly and was able to find ways to save us money. He was extremely accessible, all day on every day, which was of particular importance to us. He also helped us understand the vast amount of information that we, as first-time homeowners, did not understand. He explained concepts like escrow and the endless amount of acronyms with patience and clarity, allowing us to make informed decisions when we needed to.
Most importantly, he built a personal relationship with us, founded on mutual respect and trust. First-time homeowners have to lean pretty hard on their realtors because they come into the process without knowing what it will look like. We asked a lot of Drew, and he responded by giving us everything we needed. Ultimately, Drew gets our highest possible recommendation. If you're looking for a realtor who will actually form a relationship with you, who will pick up the phone when you call and answer your questions even if he's already answered them before, and who you can rely on to get you into your house under the most advantageous financial terms, you simply can't do better than Drew.
