  The new staff is AMAZING!!! They are so kind and considerate, I am so happy that finally SL Nusbaum Co. Finally got it right! Michael is so sweet, Dahja is very compassionate and the Manager V is a God send!! They have made it where we can have visitors to come without being towed. All I can say is KUDOS! These guys make all the difference and are willing to compromise with us. I was gonna move but now I'm staying right where I am until I purchase a home. God bless this staff, they are Godly and it shows ????

  I have lived in South Oak Crossing for about 3 years. My experience here has been great. My family and I live here and I don't ever feel like I want to leave. Most complaints about the apartment complex are not a reflection of the company that owns them or the staff that facilitates. Most issues are the tenants and not following the rules.
  
  Parking --- There is enough parking for the people that live here (and a reasonable amount of guest). You can have guest but they just have to park in the parking available to guest. They mainly do that to make sure that the TENANTS have parking (close to their apartment) for themselves. I think that makes since and it's appreciated definitely.
  
  Trash --- I hate seeing the trash not in the trash cans sometimes... But that's not ALL the time. The maintenance staff is going out of their way to make sure the trash piled OUTSIDE of a trash can is taken care of. But I don't feel like THAT should be their responsibility.
  
  Staffing --- There has been some roll over in staffing and that's typically a sign of bad management but from what I have experienced, it's just a sign of growth. The right mix of management, knowledge, and personability is important and NOT easy to find. The original staff was great when we moved here but they were also in transition in their personal lives. So they just moved on the better things. After that, South Oak just seemed to be trying to fill a niche for the tenants and company. And they have found a good balance in the newest staff. I told the staff when they FIRST got here that if they had to see me often ... Then it wasn't good because that meant things weren't being done. But that was wrong because the staff is just fun to visit and plus they keep candy in the dish... LoL.You can tell they WANT to be here and they go out of their way to make sure things are handled when they SAY it's going to be handled. If something hasn't been taken care of... I can usually find the issues in my "draft" folder in my email box.... Meaning I FORGOT to send the email.
  
  OVERALL... The only reason I would want to leave is because I would want to move my family into a house rather than apartment. But, I am FINE where we are. South Oak gets 5 Stars from me!!!!

  If you are looking to be apart of a community where the residents are kind to one another, the maintenance crew are always efficient, prompt and personable and a management team who cares about the property AND the people, then South Oak is for you.
  
  It hasn't always been this way. Quite frankly, in the short time I've lived here, I've seen management struggle which lended itself to quick turn arounds within management. ( I've experienced 4 different management teams) out of those 4 transitions, the only one that has been able to provide the same impact that I experienced when I first moved here, is the current team. They offer a professional and warm presence. They hold their residents to a level
  of esteem that is consistently
  Reflected in how they engage, resolve issues and demonstrate
  A genuine interest, appreciation AND respect for the people who live here.
  Every place - at some time or another- has their down falls.
  I feel safe here!
  I get quick results when my unit is in need of a repair (which does not happen often.)
  I feel excited to come home everyday.
  I enjoy my time in our communal spaces.
  It is beautiful!
  It is clean!
  It is well maintained!
  Keep this in mind when deciding on reaching out to the staff for further inquiry, and when you do, I guarantee you, there will be a Michael or a Dhaja, or even the Community Manager, Venah to answer your call, answer your questions and be delighted in doing so!
